Hod and Hambledon Hills are ancient iron age forts, two of the best in the country located a stones throw away from each other in the rural Dorset countryside. Surrounded by beautiful villages, excellent local pubs and views from the top across the Blackmore Vale these two forts make for an excellent excuse to get out walking.

Shillingstone to Stourpaine 10km Walk or Run

This route is simple, no map reading needed, just park up and head out along the trailway. Whether you choose to walk or run it it will be a nice little route to keep handy for training in North Dorset. The route is near enough 10km making it an excellent training route for any 10km plus runs you’ve got planned.
