You will increase your mood, confidence, energy and concentration levels and your positive energy will radiate from you. Not to mention you will have a win under your belt before the day ha started.
In this post, I will explore how we can get on the right track.
Make Exercise part of your Morning Routine
Carving out 30 minutes a day for a morning workout might seem unachievable but it’s really a matter of making it a priority. A common excuse is ‘I don’t have time!’ Well in all honesty, you have not made exercise a priority. We make time for what matters to us.
Creating a habit out of your daily is is essential to keeping it going. Once it is a habit, it will just be something you do, you won’t need to
Step 1 – Plan your workout
To start with, working out early in the morning is going to be hard. And you’ll have to dig deep to find the willpower to get up, get dressed and workout. But don’t worry, you have more willpower in the morning and therefore more likely to get your workout done. At first, it might seem like a chore, but after time you’ll create a lasting habit that requires less willpower. You’ll just do it!
Make sure you know what you want to do before you get up, a 5km run, 40 minutes gym session or a home workout. Whatever you choose, have your workout gear ready. Set it out, this acts as an excellent reminder and motivator to get you to do it!
Step 2 – Get accountable
One of the most motivational ways to get a workout done is to get accountable, you can do this yourself or you can get someone to do it for you.
Motivating yourself is not easy but it is possible. A great way to do this is to start tracking your workouts. As a result, it will help you focus on what you’ve done and make you accountable if you miss a workout.
A really easy way to make yourself accountable is to share your goals with your friends or partner. Even better, get them to join you. Unfortunately, It’s easy to convince yourself not to do a workout, but if someone (like your partner or friend) either knows you plan to workout or is working out with you, you’ll be less likely to back down.
Without a doubt, the best way to get motivated and achieve your morning workout is to ‘get a personal trainer’. And get them to turn up nice and early, If you’re having trouble motivating yourself to get up and get going. This will beef up your accountability. When you hire a personal trainer, you are essentially outsourcing your accountability. As a result, your trainer will be there at 6 am, and you’ll need to be ready!
Step 3 – Enjoy the rest of the day!
If you manage to accomplish a morning workout, make it part of your day, you’ll be eating breakfast with a hot cup of java as most people are just getting up. Moreover, you would have achieved a workout, bettered yourself, improved your mood and fired up your metabolism, ready for the day. Also, you’ll be alert and focused, your boss will wonder where your energy has come from, you’ll be more productive and hey it might even lead to a promotion.
